Bowland North Campus - Lancaster University

To ensure that we actually submitted the right solutions to the tender invitation, we carried out a study of the desired concept by the appointed designers and architects. This allowed us to understand what the client was actually trying to achieve within their financial parameters. Once we were satisfied that the Universities aspirations were understood, the benefits of being an independent supplier allowed us to search the market for the various products to build the winning tender portfolio.

Contract Award and initial programming stage

On the award of the contract, we introduced our chosen management team to the Universities project personnel where relationships were forged and Concept and layout requirements were agreed.

The brief was to accommodate 250 university staff with singular management offices, including breakout areas, conference rooms all to compliment the interiors aspects of the new build.

Layouts were finalised and proposed product solutions were selected leading onto the interfacing with the building contractor. The staged decant phase was married to the construction completion timings to allow the users to occupy the building as expected from the outset.

Delivery and Installation

The installation was agreed 8 weeks prior to the required delivery date and in this lead up time our constant reviewing and alignment processes were carried out by the managers appointed at the tender award stage.

Our installation supervisors started to take ever increasing responsibility for the delivery performance benchmarks.

Completion and Post Delivery

All areas were completed on time and without incident. A walk through was completed with our original appointed manager and the client to sign off the job and agree that all expectations had been met.
