Introduction of Furniture Design & Selection Process
The furniture criteria for this project had to respect and compliment the period features of this building. Working closely with Facilities Management we selected products which had some design features however were in keeping with the traditional period features of the building. Part of this project included supply of all the bedroom furniture throughout. We selected a modern veneered product which was bespoke for this project.
Design
We used product ranges from Senator & Allermuir and also specialist IT computer desks. In the reception area the requirement was for traditional chesterfield Sofa units and a contrast of modern tub chairs. The design theme was then carried through to the bar and restaurant area and also the outside deck area with the aluminium tables and Aura chairs.
Products Used
Leal Chesterfield sofa's, GGI tub chair, Imperial reception counter, Pulse Plus desking, Dash task chairs, Allermuir welded frame tables and chairs, Curtis Bedroom furniture, Allermuir outdoor furniture, and Smart-Top desks.
Practicality
Housing of the computer equipment was provided by using the Smart-Top desk system and secure CPU holders. When the unit lids are closed it is used as a dual purpose meeting table.
