Tender, Requirements, Solution

Southerns were awarded the tender for the supply of new furniture for the new College Buildings following a competitive tendering exercise.

The College required a complex variety of solutions to the various areas of the campus. These included the accommodation for Student Work Areas, External and Internal catering furniture, Staff Areas and leisure hall locker facilities.

Once we understood the design aspirations of the College and the practical needs of the various departments, we were able to offer solutions that truly embraced the affordable design aims of the principles.

Sourcing

We carried out several manufacturer visits and provided many samples of product to offer the scheme a choice from quality brands suitable for College environments.

The specification was established and a total solution was gradually developed from the space planning stages through to finish and colour proposals. This also included bespoke products that were developed to exacting criteria.

Change Management

Amendments were handled within our change management process and Southerns perfect delivery system approach provided the College with a trouble free installation with stunning results.

Delivery

All areas were delivered on time and without snags allowing a successful handover of the facility offering its occupants a stunning and vibrant environment that will surely stand out as a centre of learning excellence.
